Mondaine sets its sights on the bezel for the first time with "Numeri".

The Swiss brand is best known for its "station watch for the wrist." It features a simple, pragmatic design inspired by Hans Hilfiker's 1944 design for the official watch of the Swiss Federal Railways.

He later updated his design and added a red second hand, inspired by the dipper used by dispatchers who dispatched trains in stations.

Less than half a century later, Erwin Bernheim and the Mondaine Group were inspired by Hilfiker's original design and decided to transform it into a wristwatch collection officially licensed by the Swiss Federal Railways.

Since then, watch cases and bracelets have been adapted to the "train station" look in numerous variations, but the simple dial and the red for the second hand have always formed the core of the design.

Even the chronographs in the "Neo" collection are understatedly elegant. The "Cushion" models, on the other hand, stand out from the crowd with their cushion-shaped cases.

And now "Numeri" is coming, venturing further into the world of sports – naturally without neglecting Mondaine's design principles. The designers have focused on the bezel – a first for Mondaine.

They describe the result as a sporty combination of elegance and functionality – tailored to the modern wardrobe, ranging from casual to formal.

The new “Numeri” collection retains the design of the original but complements it with new, striking features.

The eye-catcher is the clearly legible dial in timeless white or black, which is surrounded by a twelve-sided, fixed, and faceted bezel and forms part of the 42-millimeter brushed and polished case with a water resistance of up to 10 bar. It protects a precise Swiss quartz movement.

Interchangeable straps include a silicone “M” pattern strap like Mondaine and a stainless steel link bracelet with a polished and brushed finish.
