Party time with Mido
Party time with Mido
More precisely, with the "Commander 1959". Because real coolness never goes out of fashion. Or just needs a little update. In this case, Mido got carried away with a pixel explosion on the dial that will do justice to any party outfit.
The flickering play of the small "digital" squares against a black background should be pink, blue and above all bright, effortlessly blending in with the analogue retro charm of the "Commander".

When the party is over and the lights go out, this "Commander 1959" is far from finished and surprises with its staying power and phosphorescent face thanks to coloured Superluminova. Uncoloured Superluminova on the hour and minute hands and on the 12 points of the polished chapter ring ensures unmistakable legibility in the dark.

The inner values are also about endurance. Mido also sets the state of the art here and installs the automatic calibre 80 (base movement ETA C07.621) regulated in three positions with an anti-magnetic balance spring made of Nivachron and up to 80 hours of power reserve. Even after a long convalescence following a night of dancing the night away, a "Commander 1959" cannot stop.
The model is based on the original "Commander", which the brand has been producing continuously since 1959. Retro elements such as the Milanaise bracelet and the acrylic glass form a contrast to the modern dial.

The fully polished monocoque case - a masterpiece in terms of water resistance at the time - has a versatile diameter of 37 millimetres and is surrounded by a simple bezel. This "Commander 1959" is worn on a comfortable Milanaise bracelet. (RRP 790 €)
