Seiko: even more attractive and exclusive
Although Seiko is not represented at Watches & Wonders or Time to Watches, the traditional Japanese brand has instead invited visitors to the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Geneva to present its exciting new watches.
Vincent Brun, General Manager of Seiko Germany, explains the brand's plans.
Our aim is to make Seiko even more attractive, exclusive, digital and high-quality in the future. We have everything we need to achieve these goals. Vertical integration, history, pioneering spirit - few brands are so strongly positioned.
King Seiko VANAC: Homage to Tokyo
The King Seiko was already a legendary watch series in the 1970s. It is celebrating its comeback in 2025. The new generation of King Seiko, the VANAC, carries on the legacy of the original and marks the beginning of a new era for the King Seiko brand.
The design of the VANAC is inspired by Tokyo and reflects the city's iconic horizon. It is characterised by geometric shapes and highly polished surfaces that give it an elegant appearance. The bracelet combines mirror-polished and brushed links for a shiny effect, while the dial is harmoniously integrated with a horizontal stripe pattern and a set-in ring.

Another special feature of the VANAC is the glass case back, through which the new calibre 8L45, Seiko's most precise mechanical movement, is visible - making the VANAC the first King Seiko to feature this innovation.
The series comprises various models, including
- Tokyo Twilight SLA083 (Purple)
- Tokyo Midnight SLA085 (Navy blue)
- Tokyo Sunrise SLA087 (Silver)
- Tokyo Horizon SLA089 Limited Edition (Gold)
- Tokyo SLA091 Boutique Exclusive (ice blue)

The VANAC is characterised by striking geometric shapes, a modern dial with a "V" design and a bracelet that impresses with its luxurious look and comfortable feel. The glass case back with the "Shield" logo rounds off the design and provides a view of the advanced movement.
The sales launch is planned for July 2025.
