Diamond jewellery with a unique selling point: Wempe launches Wempe 137
Wempe has launched its own new diamond jewelry brand. Its centerpiece is the exclusive Wempe Cut with 137 facets, which the Hamburg-based family company developed and patented.

Exclusivity with 137 facets
Anyone who loves natural diamonds is already looking for something special, something for quality and exclusivity. Wempe Jewelers takes these needs to the next level. The family-run business has immortalized itself as a diamond expert with its own diamond cut, the exclusive and patented Wempe Cut. This special cut is a modified brilliant cut with 137 facets—80 more than a classic brilliant cut.
This makes diamonds not only a unique selling point that sets Wempe apart from the competition and underscores the jeweler's diamond expertise, but also a way to best serve customers' desire for exclusivity.

It's no wonder that Wempe proudly named its own diamond jewelry brand "Wempe 137" to give the Wempe cut its full spotlight. The Wempe-cut diamonds have a very special fire due to their cut—a fact that Wempe also brilliantly portrayed in the brand's photo shoot.
Wempe owner Kim-Eva Wempe explains:
"Our customers value the opportunity to compare natural diamonds of the highest quality. We are one of the few jewelers in the world with our own cut. In the future, our customers will also be able to discover the unique radiance of the Wempe-Cut® in our own brand world."

With the customers for the customers
The original impetus for developing the brand actually came from the family business's customers. Chief Marketing Officer Marko Jünemann reports that Wempe 137 was born out of close dialogue with customers—by no means a given, but a prime example of what a productive and inspiring relationship between a jeweler and their customers can look like.

“In our daily encounters, we experience how fascinated people are by natural diamonds and how much they want to make special moments in their lives immortal with a unique piece of jewelry,” says Jünemann.
Distinctiveness, naturalness, and unconventionality are the characteristics at the heart of the "Wempe 137" brand. The creations are crafted in the Wempe studio in the gold-producing town of Schwäbisch Gmünd, a location with over 130 years of experience in the production of fine jewelry.

Anja Heiden, CEO of the Jewelry Division at Wempe, emphasizes:
"For every Wempe-Cut® diamond, only the highest quality and grade of raw material is selected worldwide. In a complex cutting process by our partner company in Antwerp, the diamond receives its characteristic cut—and thus the perfect shape that does justice to its natural uniqueness."
The "Wempe 137" brand currently comprises the "Splendora" and "Splendora Pure" collections, with further collections planned. In the "Splendora" collection, the diamond is held with four prongs in a basket set with 16 brilliant-cut diamonds. In the "Splendora Pure" collection, however, the diamond is held in a minimalist, four-prong setting and highlighted by a diamond belt, the so-called "hidden halo." Both creations showcase the essence of the new Wempe 137 brand: diamonds as a gift from nature that unfold their own mystical character.
