Mido presents the "Ocean Star 200C" in an elegant gold/green look

The new "Ocean Star 200C" from Mido combines robust quality with a sporty, elegant look, created by the combination of the 42.5-millimeter case in rose gold-colored PVD coating with the matte green dial with wave decor and the brown leather strap with a crocodile leather look.

The durable design has a long tradition with the "Ocean Star" collection, introduced in 1944, and is part of the historical heritage of the brand, which is now part of the Swatch Group. This included, among other things, the Aquadura cork crown sealing system for wristwatches, introduced in 1930. An engraved starfish on the case back of the "Ocean Star" models commemorates Mido's pioneering role in water resistance.

The new addition to the "Ocean" family harks back to this history of reliable robustness. Its hallmarks include water resistance to 20 bar, a screw-down crown, a screw-down caseback, a unidirectional rotating bezel with a ceramic ring, Superluminova for consistently comfortable readability, and, of course, the Mido Caliber 80 (based on the ETA C07.621).

The latter is equipped with a Nivachron hairspring, which protects against magnetic fields that could disrupt the watch's precise running. It is regulated in three different positions, offers up to 80 hours of power reserve, and displays the functions: hours, minutes, seconds, date, and day of the week – all readable beneath the sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
