Geneva Watch Days 2025: All the highlights from Geneva, part 6 - Grand complications for exclusive watches

Beauregard, Bianchet, Laurent Ferrier, Speake Marin, Frederique Constant

We had a look around the Geneva Watch Days, braving rain, thunderstorms and heat, but also enjoying the bright sunshine and late summer atmosphere. At least always on the walkways between the numerous exhibition locations in Geneva, which makes this watch event something very special.

But it wasn't just the pedometer on our smartphones or smartwatches that demonstrated our active movement through the world of beautiful timepieces during our visit to the Geneva Watch Days. This overview of the highlights from Geneva is also a reflection of how we move through the latest innovations from watchmakers. And the range is wide - we promise.

Part 6: Major complications and complex functions

These are elaborate additional functions that go beyond the normal display of hours, minutes and seconds. These include the tourbillon and the perpetual calendar. While the whirlwind (the German translation of tourbillon) counteracts the effects of gravity, which interferes with accuracy, the perpetual calendar ensures that the date is always correct up to the year 2100.
