Gucci rescue? Kering sells beauty division to L'Oréal

Beauty division acquired from luxury goods group Kering, including perfume manufacturer Creed and beauty and fragrance licenses.

Kering subsidiary Gucci is weakening

Gucci hasn't been doing well for some time, and the numbers are weighing on the company's overall results. Kering's sales in the first half of 2025 amounted to €7.6 billion, down 16 percent year-on-year. After a 24 percent decline in the first quarter, the second quarter saw an 18 percent drop. Even more dramatic is the 46 percent drop in profits, to €474 million.
