Gucci parent company Kering brings another automotive manager onto its leadership team

With Luca de Meo Last year, a former top manager from the automotive industry succeeded François-Henri Pinault as CEO, who had led Kering for 20 years. Now, the luxury goods group has appointed Stéphane Noël, formerly of the automotive supplier Forvia, as Chief Industrial Officer. He will take up his post on April 1st, become a member of Kering's Executive Committee, and report directly to Luca de Meo.

This appointment is part of a new organizational structure with which Kering aims to address the decline in demand for its main brand, Gucci, and become more efficient. The company recently reported a massive drop in profit and revenue for 2025.

The newly created organizational structure comprises the competence centers for industry and customers. The goal is to optimize the group's operational efficiency and support the sustainable growth of its brands.

These new areas are part of the group's platform, which aims to provide all Kering brands with a unified framework, more resources, and effective levers for accelerating the implementation of their strategies, the company announced. In addition to Gucci, Kering's brands include Saint Laurent, Bottega Veneta, Balenciaga, McQueen, Brioni, Boucheron, Pomellato, Dodo, Qeelin, and Ginori 1735. Their respective teams report to the centers of excellence.

The industrial sector It encompasses the integration of purchasing, manufacturing, supply chain, quality assurance, and research and development. Its responsibilities include the entire value chain as well as customer-related functions such as product and pricing, marketing, sales channels, sales and production planning, and data.

Carlo Mocci has been appointed Chief Client Officer, effective May 4, 2026. Following 13 years at McKinsey & Company and seven years at Amazon, he spent five years as Chief Business Officer at the online food delivery service Deliveroo. He will also become a member of Kering's Executive Committee and will report directly to Luca de Meo.
