Nevermined and Mandana: Jewelry with an ethical concept

Luxury and sustainability, gold and environmental issues, the circumstances surrounding diamond mining—for a long time, these were not topics of concern for jewelry manufacturers and retailers. Those days are over.
Brands such as Nevermined and Mandana Jewellery have now discovered that fair and ethically produced luxury goods are not only suitable for a particularly socially conscious audience, but also make for an appealing topic of small talk. After all, the luxury character of a piece of jewelry is enhanced when no compromises were made during its purchase.
Sister companies Nevermined Diamonds and Mandana Jewellery have developed a comprehensive concept that combines new technologies and the principle of conscious luxury to create contemporary, sustainable jewelry. At Inhorgenta, they will also be showcasing the emotional dimension of their project at a joint exhibition stand.
“From Seed to Emotion – where Science becomes Beauty” – this is Nevermined’s guiding principle. In the company’s laboratory in Essen, diamonds of the highest jewelry quality are grown, certified by IGI and SCS-007. This is energy-intensive, but NevermFancy Coloursined uses only green electricity. At the trade fair, stones in fancy colors, with higher carat weights and unusual cuts will be presented – all designed to turn a technical product into a highly emotional one.
Mandana, like Nevermined, was founded by Christine Marhofer and advertises with the slogan “On Your Brilliance,” whereby this brilliance also refers to personal reflection and charisma. The brand aims to stand for important values such as sustainability, diversity, fairness, respect, mindfulness, social justice, and female empowerment.
This is ensured, among other things, by the use of recycled gold and diamonds that are mined by Nevermined and are therefore conflict-free.
The stand will feature the German Design Award-winning “All Gens” collection, as well as customizable jewelry such as the “Permanent” bracelet and special editions with fancy color diamonds.
On Friday, February 20, at 2 p.m., the “Own Your Brilliance Inspiration Talk” will take place, featuring Nevermined and Mandana CEO Christine Marhofer, former DFB women’s national team coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg, and presenter Rena Schwabl.
