Off into the depths – Aquaris by Junghans is serious about diving

Junghans at Inhorgenta 2026: Hall A1, Booth 102

When it comes to sports and functional watches, Junghans naturally brings to mind classic and modern pilot watches. And the “Competition” family, which revives the sporting spirit of the 1970s in its shape and color.

However, Junghans has not produced diving watches for many years. That is now changing with the “Aquaris,” which the company offers in both professional and leisure designs. All models are extremely durable.

The impressive stainless steel case, with a diameter of almost 47 millimeters, features protection on the side for the two screw-down crowns at 2 and 4 o’clock. The upper crown operates the internal rotating bezel, while the lower crown is used to set the time. Water-resistant to 50 bar, the case also protects the automatic caliber from magnetic influences with a soft iron layer. The J830 movement, reserved for Junghans, has a rhodium finish; the gear bridge, rotor, and balance cock were designed by Junghans itself.

Steel and rubber straps

The Aquaris comes in two basic versions with identical technical features but different characters:

The “Diver” version emphasizes the instrumental nature of the watch with strong color contrasts on the dark gray dial. The visually dominant minute hand is also typical of professional diving watches.

Aquaris Red and Aquaris Blue, on the other hand, are equally robust but are more like sports watches for any terrain, with colorful sunburst dials and bar hands.

All models come with two quick-change straps, one made of synthetic rubber with a diver’s extension and one made of stainless steel with a diver’s clasp. The strap can be adjusted using the grid adjustment system developed by Junghans and an additional folding extension.
