Wempe Signature Collection x TAG Heuer Carrera
Wempe and TAG Heuer are proud to present the Carrera Chronograph Wempe Signature Collection. Limited to 50 pieces, this chronograph combines the design language of the Carrera with the signature style of the Hamburg-based jeweler.
The Wempe Signature Collection is based on iconic models from the world of watches. The Hamburg-based family business draws on its many years of experience in understanding the expectations, requirements, and wishes of its customers, and works with selected watch brands to bring these to life. The result is exclusive, limited editions that are available exclusively at Wempe stores worldwide and in the Wempe online shop.
Inspired by the legendary Carrera Panamericana race, Jack Heuer wanted to develop a watch that combined maximum readability, technical excellence, and clean lines. The result was the “Carrera,” which was launched in 1963 and became TAG Heuer’s most important watch line. It also represents the brand’s close connection to motorsports. Among other things, TAG Heuer has been the global watch partner of Formula 1 since last year.
Carrera Chronograph Wempe Signature Collection
TAG Heuer has revived the glass box design, drawing on the styling of earlier Carrera versions. The domed sapphire crystal, which seamlessly encloses the dial and scale, ensures particularly comfortable readability and gives the watch a striking presence on the wrist.
The Carrera Chronograph Wempe Signature Collection features a 39-millimeter stainless steel case with a silver-colored dial and applied indices. In contrast, red accents on the chronograph hands and totalizer hands add subtle, sporty touches. The two-counter layout underscores the functional clarity of this timepiece. The Wempe Carrera is worn on a dark blue leather strap with a folding clasp.
Inside, the automatic, meticulously refined TH20-00 chronograph caliber operates with a power reserve of up to 80 hours. It is visible through the sapphire crystal viewing window in the screw-down case back. The case back also features the limited edition engraving “One of 50” and the addition “Wempe Signature Collection.”
