Sternglas presents the limited-edition Marus 2.0 Coast
The Hamburg-based watch brand Sternglas captures the rugged beauty of the sea with its diver’s watch-style “Marus 2.0 Edition Küste.”
Limited to 1,999 pieces, this Sternglas timepiece combines a nautical color scheme with sporty functionality and easy readability. The dark blue dial is surrounded by a color-coordinated, unidirectional aluminum bezel.
To ensure reliable readability even in low light or underwater, the significantly widened hour markers, hands, and bezel numerals are generously coated with two-tone Super-LumiNova in white and orange. Particular eye-catchers are the signal-orange seconds hand and the date display at 6 o’clock, which has been enlarged by 20 percent. The dial is protected by a double-domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
The completely redesigned 42-millimeter case, crafted from brushed and polished 316L stainless steel, offers exceptional comfort thanks to its shorter lugs (lug-to-lug: 50 mm). It is water-resistant to a pressure of 20 bar.
A clever safety feature is the screw-down crown with a red indicator on the thread. If it is not properly secured, a bright red ring becomes visible—an intuitive indication that water resistance is not guaranteed. Inside, the watch is powered by the TMI NH35 mechanical self-winding movement, which offers a power reserve of 42 hours.
To adapt the watch to different lifestyles, the “Marus 2.0 Edition Coast” comes with three strap options featuring a quick-change system: In addition to a sporty blue rubber strap and a solid, integrated metal bracelet with a tool-free quick-adjustment mechanism, an innovative hybrid strap also makes its debut.
It combines water-repellent European calfskin on the outside with a durable, dimensionally stable silicone core on the inside. The result is a UV-resistant, sweat-resistant strap for everyday use.
