Ride the green wave on your wrist

When, a few years ago, the first watchmakers dared to feature one of the many shades of green on a dial alongside black, white, and dark blue, it became a hot topic of conversation in the watch community.

Reactions ranged from “Wow, give us more of that” to “That’ll never catch on.” Today we know that green has evolved from a limited-edition color to a standard dial color. A look at the current wave of green watches from Alexander Shorokhoff, Bell & Ross, Citizen, Jacob & Co., Kerbedanz, Nomos Glashütte, and Seiko confirms this.

Alexander Shorokhoff: Frozy Green

The “Frozy” model, limited to 60 pieces, is a prime example of the innovative creativity of the Alexander Shorokhoff brand. Following the premiere of the new line at Inhorgenta, another interpretation is now being introduced: the “Frozy Green.” This new automatic watch features a genuine malachite dial, making each of the 60 pieces one of a kind. alexander-shorokhoff.com

Kerbedanz: 65’27”

With its “65’27’’” collection, Kerbedanz celebrates its 15th anniversary by inviting us to experience time as a rare constellation—fleeting, meaningful, and deeply human—through a blend of precision and poetry, as well as mathematics and emotion. At the center is a single minute hand in dialogue with an hour disc marked by a diamond. It aligns every 65 minutes and 27 seconds. At that moment, the diamond is magnified by the minute hand—“a frozen moment in which time achieves a kind of absoluteness,” according to the Swiss watch brand, whose chief designer and co-founder, Aram Petrosyan, was born on September 27, 1965. kerbedanz.com
