Watch News Briefing: Four New Releases, Ranging from Summer Sports Chic to a Tribute to London

The latest watch releases once again demonstrate how differently brands interpret their own design codes. Bvlgari is introducing two summery variations of its iconic aluminum watch, DOXA is reviving a historic diver’s chronograph, Bell & Ross is pairing the BR-05 with aventurine and diamonds, while Beda’a is translating London architecture into a special mechanical model.

Bvlgari is adding two summery variations to the Bvlgari Bvlgari Aluminium collection. The line, which established its own design codes in the sporty luxury watch segment in 1998 with its combination of aluminum and rubber, is now available in a white monochrome version as well as in a limited edition of 500 pieces featuring a blue sunburst dial.

Both models feature a 40-millimeter aluminum case, a rubber bezel with the distinctive double Bvlgari signature, and a white rubber strap with aluminum links. They are water-resistant to 100 meters.

The models are powered by the automatic B77 caliber, featuring a date display, central seconds hand, and a 42-hour power reserve. While the white version emphasizes the line’s sporty, minimalist character, the blue dial adds a summery touch.

DOXA SUB 200 T.GRAPH II

Doxa SUB 200 T.GRAPH II – the new models

With the SUB 200 T.GRAPH II, DOXA continues a historic tradition. As early as 1969, the brand launched the SUB 200 T.GRAPH, a chronograph designed for professional diving. The new generation carries on this tradition, though its proportions are somewhat more understated.

The stainless steel case measures 42 millimeters in diameter and is 14.6 millimeters thick. The watch is water-resistant to 200 meters, features a unidirectional rotating bezel, and combines classic dive time measurement with a chronograph function. Inside, it is powered by the automatic Sellita SW510 movement with a power reserve of approximately 56 hours.

The SUB 200 T.GRAPH II is available in the familiar DOXA colors—Professional Orange, Sharkhunter Black, and Searambler Silver—as well as the new Caribbean Dark Blue. It is offered with a rice-grain stainless steel bracelet or a rubber strap.

Bell & Ross BR-05 Blue Diamond Eagle 36MM

Bell & Ross is expanding the BR-05 collection with a jewel-like interpretation featuring an aventurine dial and diamond accents. The BR-05 Blue Diamond Eagle 36MM draws inspiration from the constellation Aquila, which is represented by seven diamonds set against the deep-blue aventurine dial.

In addition, twelve diamonds serve as hour markers. In total, the dial features 18 diamonds in three sizes. The bezel is set with 108 diamonds and frames the dial like a starry sky. With this design, Bell & Ross shifts the BR-05’s technical aesthetic more toward that of a jewelry watch, without sacrificing the clean lines of the case.

The stainless steel case measures 36 millimeters and is 8.7 millimeters thick. Inside, it is powered by the automatic BR-CAL.329 caliber with a 54-hour power reserve. The watch is water-resistant to 100 meters and comes with a stainless steel bracelet.

Beda’a Angles Mecaline London Edition

Beda’a Angles Mecaline London Edition

Beda’a is dedicating a limited special edition of the Angles Mecaline to the city of London. The London Edition was unveiled at Hands on Horology and is limited to 50 pieces.

The model draws inspiration from the architecture of Elizabeth Tower, particularly the famous Big Ben clock face. The Victorian-inspired numerals and the relief-like pattern of the dial pay homage to the tower’s historic details. At the same time, the octagonal case shape characteristic of the Angles collection is retained.

The stainless steel case measures 37 x 34 millimeters and is only 5.8 millimeters thick. The watch is powered by the hand-wound ETA 7001 movement, featuring a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock and a power reserve of approximately 42 hours. The Angles Mecaline London Edition is scheduled to be available starting in August 2026.

Four Ways to Continue Well-Known Lines

The four new releases showcase different strategies for approaching existing collections. Bvlgari reimagines an iconic design through color and material effects. DOXA stays true to its own “tool watch” heritage. Bell & Ross expands the BR-05’s appeal toward jewelry and symbolism. Beda’a uses architecture and urban culture as a creative starting point.

What they all have in common is that none of these new releases works based on technical specifications alone. What matters most in each case is the context: lifestyle, history, materials, symbolism, or location. That is precisely what makes these watch news stories so appealing.
