Mühle Glashütte Celebrates 30 Years of Wristwatches
1996 to 2026: For three decades, Nautische Instrumente Mühle-Glashütte has been manufacturing mechanical wristwatches. To mark this occasion, all movements in Mühle watches introduced and manufactured in 2026 will be equipped with the exclusive “Three Decades of Wristwatches” special rotor.
In addition, during this anniversary year, Mühle-Glashütte is highlighting one past model each month that played a special role in the collection of this independent, family-owned Glashütte-based company. In July, the spotlight is on the “Robert Mühle Moon Phase” from 2019.
The “Robert Mühle Moon Phase” is the crowning jewel of the “R. Mühle & Sohn” Manufacture line. It pays homage to Robert Mühle, who founded the family’s first company in Glashütte in 1869. This commitment to tradition is also reflected in the classic Glashütte craftsmanship of the collection—for example, in screw-down gold chatons or an engraved balance cock.
With the “Robert Mühle Moon Phase,” the in-house collection launched in 2014 has been expanded to include its third in-house design from Mühle-Glashütte. Housed in 42-millimeter cases made of platinum, rose gold, or stainless steel, it combines the moon phase display introduced in 2019 with the in-house waxing/waning indicator from 2014 and the Mühle pointer date developed in 2016.
Throughout 2026, additional historic models will be unveiled month after month. In addition, Mühle will publish a special edition on the topic “Three Decades of Wristwatches.”
It is aimed at watch enthusiasts and fans of the brand and showcases at least one special Mühle model from nearly every one of the 30 years—with the exception of 1997, when no new wristwatch was introduced.
