TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Team Ikuzawa: “The Colours of Racing”
TAG Heuer continues its collaboration with Team Ikuzawa and Bamford Watch Department: The new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph x Team Ikuzawa translates the graphic language of historic motorsport timepieces into a special edition limited to 150 individually numbered pieces. Following the first collaborative Carrera from 2023, “The Colours of Racing” is not merely a change in color, but a distinct reinterpretation with a clear connection to the brand’s racing history.
Roadmaster Graphics for the Carrera
The design takes its cue from the historic Heuer Roadmaster stopwatch, whose high-contrast scales and instant readability were developed for use in motorsports. TAG Heuer has therefore added striking red accents to the white dial of the new Carrera: The chronograph sub-dial at 3 o’clock, the central seconds hand, and other details reinforce the instrument-like appearance. At the same time, the minimalist layout leaves enough space for the chronograph to appear precise and understated despite its bold color scheme.
Three manuscripts, one motorsports theme
Once again, three perspectives came together in the design: TAG Heuer’s expertise in chronographs, the visual world of the Japanese racing team shaped by Mai Ikuzawa, and George Bamford’s eye for modern, striking details. The result combines vintage touches with a contemporary presence without turning the Carrera into a purely retro watch. It is precisely this deliberate restriction to white, red, and metal that helps ensure the historical reference remains recognizable while allowing the watch to function as a current edition.
Limited to 150 copies
The limited run of 150 individually numbered pieces underscores the collectible nature of the Carrera Chronograph x Team Ikuzawa. In terms of substance, however, the collaboration goes beyond exclusivity: it links Heuer’s history of professional timekeeping with the legacy of Japanese race car driver Tetsu Ikuzawa and the team’s current creative direction. As a result, this new model tells a compelling story of racing, graphic design, and precise timekeeping—and establishes itself as one of the most distinctive Carrera special editions of 2026.
