NOMOS Club Sport neomatik World Time: A Stock Market Watch for “Handelsblatt”

On the new Club Sport neomatik World Time, New York, London, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, and Tokyo represent not only major cities but also financial markets. To mark the 80th anniversary of the *Handelsblatt*, NOMOS Glashütte has replaced five of the usual city codes with the abbreviations of the most important international stock exchanges.

Thus, the Worldtimer, introduced in 2025, becomes a special edition that highlights this collaboration not through an additional logo, but through the actual world time display.

Five Stock Exchanges on the Städtering

The outer ring features the abbreviations NYSE, LSE, FWB, HKEX, and TSE, standing for the stock exchanges in New York, London, Frankfurt am Main, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. The abbreviations appear in a warm orange, echoing the Handelsblatt’s masthead color. An orange line at the 12 o’clock position indicates the currently selected time zone.

The 24-hour display of the home time also reflects the newspaper’s color scheme. A thin line separates day and night, designed to evoke the grid of a newspaper page. The initial “H” is engraved on the crown, while the case back bears the engraving “Edition Handelsblatt” and a serial number.

The design thus remains closely tied to the watch’s function. Stock market trading takes place across time zones; the codes are therefore more than just a decorative reference to the partner. They directly translate the global focus of a business newspaper into the display of a world timer.

World Time at the Touch of a Button

The Club Sport neomatik World Time displays both the local time and a customizable home time in 24-hour format. The local time can be adjusted in increments to a different time zone using the pusher at the 2 o’clock position. The city ring moves accordingly, while the home time remains unchanged.

Inside, the automatic in-house caliber DUW 3202 is at work. Its world time mechanism is fully integrated into the movement rather than being added as a separate module. As a result, the caliber is only 4.8 millimeters thick.

40 millimeters and less than 10 millimeters in height

The stainless steel case measures 40 millimeters in diameter and 9.9 millimeters in height. This keeps the watch unusually slim despite the additional display. The screw-down sapphire crystal case back offers a view of the movement. A screw-down crown and water resistance of 10 ATM extend its use beyond travel and everyday business life.

The large hands, hour markers, and indices are coated with Superluminova and glow blue in the dark. The sporty case and integrated metal bracelet provide a striking contrast to the intricately designed world time display.

A collaboration regarding the function

This edition builds on a characteristic that actually connects the newspaper and the clock: Both organize information from different time zones. The orange stock symbols do not alter the basic function, but they do give it a concrete economic context.
