Inhorgenta 2027: France is coming to Munich with over 40 brands

France is significantly expanding its presence at Inhorgenta 2027. From February 19 to 22, more than 40 French watch and jewelry brands will be showcasing their products at the Munich Trade Fair Center. According to the trade show organizers, the number of exhibitors from France has increased by 54 percent compared to the previous edition.

Three “French Pavilions” for INHORGENTA

In collaboration with the French industry association Francéclat, Inhorgenta is setting up three separate French Pavilions for the first time. They are dedicated to the categories of Timepieces, Fine & High Jewelry, and Lifestyle Jewelry. This means that the French exhibitors will not be grouped together in a single area, but will be distributed across the fair according to the different segments.

As the fourth platform with strong French participation, the ICONIC Pavilion in Hall B2—curated by Muriel Piaser—complements the concept. It focuses on contemporary design, thereby offering another window into the French jewelry scene.

Greater Visibility for French Brands

The new structure provides participating brands with a clearer classification within the trade show. In the watch section, established manufacturers are featured alongside younger, independently run brands. The jewelry pavilions showcase everything from high-end one-of-a-kind pieces and traditional goldsmithing to more accessible, design-oriented collections.

France has a diverse watch and jewelry industry that often presents a less unified front on the international stage than its Swiss or Italian counterparts. The joint pavilions therefore do more than just provide additional exhibition space; they highlight the country’s heritage, design traditions, and artisanal expertise as a cohesive whole.

Francéclat and Inhorgenta Are Strengthening Their Partnership

This expansion is the result of enhanced cooperation between Francéclat and Messe München. The French association represents companies in the jewelry, watch, and tableware sectors and supports their international presence. At Inhorgenta, it serves as a bridge between the individual brands and exhibition areas.

For Inhorgenta, the significantly greater French participation also represents another step toward internationalization. The Munich trade show is aimed at the European specialty retail sector and brings together watches, jewelry, gemstones, design, and manufacturing technology. National pavilions make it easier for smaller brands in particular to gain access to new distribution contacts without having to sacrifice their creative independence.

Four Different Perspectives on French Design

The four pavilions do not present France as a single, unified style. Classical watchmaking, haute joaillerie, fashion jewelry, and experimental design each have their own dedicated space. It is precisely this division that is likely to highlight the diversity of the French scene more clearly than a single shared space would.

With more than 40 brands, France will be one of the most prominent international groups at Inhorgenta in 2027. The 54 percent growth also underscores how much Munich is gaining in importance as a platform for the European watch and jewelry market.
