INHORGENTA 2026: Craftsmanship – Alexander Shorokhoff
At the international meeting place of the watch, jewelry and gemstone industry from February 20th to 23rd, 2026, the focus this time is particularly on craftsmanship, as INHORGENTA has declared „Craftsmanship” its main theme.
The craftsmanship, which still uses centuries-old techniques, will be presented in all its diversity at INHORGENTA 2026 – by exhibitors such as Alexander Shorokhoff and with themed worlds and a supporting program.
„Craftsmanship is the foundation of our industry. Especially in times of automation and digitalization, craftsmanship is experiencing a new appreciation and is gaining increasing relevance. With the overarching theme of ‚Craftsmanship,‘ we are creating a platform for the people and skills that make jewelry, watches, and gemstones what they are: expressions of precision, passion, and cultural heritage,“ explains Stefanie Mändlein, Exhibition Director of INHORGENTA.
Alexander Shorokhoff is a company that successfully combines traditional craftsmanship with modern production methods. Insight Inhorgenta spoke with Inga Duffy-Shorokhova (Marketing and Art Director at Alexander Shorokhoff) about craftsmanship.

Which craft techniques particularly distinguish you?
Inga Duffy- Shorokhova: What truly distinguishes our manufactory is the art of hand engraving. Whether on the movement, the dial, or the case – we place the utmost importance on giving our models a unique craftsmanship and aesthetic distinctiveness through the finest hand engravings.
In times when such work is mostly done by machine, our careful handwork makes each piece unique.
Furthermore, we skeletonize some of our watches ourselves on-site and hand-enamele dials and cases. This meticulous craftsmanship is particularly important to us and makes each model a unique masterpiece.
Are there any skills or manufacturing methods that make your brand unique?
Inga Duffy- Shorokhova: It is precisely these hand-engraved, skeletonized, and hand-enameled pieces that make our manufactory so special. They allow us to fully express our unique design in all its facets and offer our customers something they won't find anywhere else.
Thanks to these on-site skills, we can also fulfill individual customer requests or one-off productions.

We recently completed a custom order for a valued customer, in which his initials were skeletonized and hand-engraved on a dial. An intricate piece of work, but definitely worth the effort, and one that can even be passed down through generations.
What role do trends play for Alexander Shorokhoff?
Inga Duffy- ShorokhovaAt Alexander Shorokhoff, we don't follow any specific or current trends. On the contrary – we go so far as to say that we create our own trends in design, color, and style.
Over the years, Alexander Shorokhoff has built up a unique, artistic niche, which we serve with models that polarize and evoke emotions.
Anyone familiar with the "Kandy Avantgarde," "Miss Avantgarde," or the "Cadamomo Full Calendar" knows exactly what Alexander Shorokhoff stands for: courage, creativity, and masterful craftsmanship. And that's a trend in itself.
