A bold touch of pink on your wrist: “Classics Carrée Felipa0 Blush Edition” by Frederique Constant
The Geneva-based watchmaker Frederique Constant and Spanish artist Felipao present the result of their second collaboration: the “Classics Carrée Felipa0 – Blush Edition.”
The Frederique Constant quartz watch, featuring a 36-millimeter stainless steel case and coming with a star-shaped keychain, is based on a single motif—the straight line—and a single color—fuchsia pink—chosen to celebrate women in all their roles.
The first collaboration in 2023 was clearly aimed at men and centered on the “Highlife Automatic COSC.” For their new chapter together, Frederique Constant and Felipao therefore wanted to create a distinctly feminine design. The result is the “Classics Carrée Felipao – Blush Edition.”
The artist was given free rein. Pastel colors and muted tones were set aside, replaced by an explosion of cheerful and optimistic fuchsia pink. The dial of the “Classics Carrée Felipao – Blush Edition” consists of numerous interlocking squares, with grained and sunburst finishes alternating.
As a result, the dial resembles a kaleidoscope that naturally draws the eye to its center, where the hours and minutes are displayed. Two hands, nothing more. Felipe sought a simple design that highlights color and material, just as in his artistic creations. No seconds, no date.
The design focuses on the essentials, yet features an appliqué star at 12 o’clock—a reminder that every woman is a star—accented by eleven hour markers made of aquamarine-colored Swarovski crystals.
