Rado presents new "Anatom" quintet
Rado presents new "Anatom" quintet
Two years ago, Rado reissued the "Anatom", which is possibly even more exciting today than it was in its original decade. This refers to the 1980s, which are currently celebrating a major design revival.
But of course Rado was not content with a simple new edition. In 2023, the Swatch Group brand fitted the "Anatom" with a matt black bezel made of high-tech ceramic and a textured rubber strap, thus beaming the watch into the design and material present.

The five new editions that have now been released rely entirely on the ceramic expertise of Rado - self-proclaimed Master of Materials - and secure themselves to the wrist of their wearers with a polished ceramic strap that matches the colour of the bezel. The lightness and durability of the material is complemented by its pleasant ability to quickly adapt to body temperature. Wearing comfort is one of the key features of this collection, emphasised by the name "Anatom".

Like the new edition of the timepiece in 2023, these versions are also larger than the original with a case width of 32.5 millimetres. The adapted shape includes a cylindrical sapphire crystal, a bezel and bracelet links with bevelled edges. The case tapers towards the bracelet to a width of 20 millimetres.

Instead of the original quartz movement, it is now equipped with the mechanical automatic movement R766 with a power reserve of 72 hours, an anti-magnetic Nivachron balance spring and date function.
Black high-tech ceramic, plasma high-tech ceramic, lacquered dials in black and grey and two versions with diamonds make up the new "Anatom" quintet.
