For example, the "1972 Competition" from Junghans, which skilfully manifests the contrasts of black and white. The striking, slightly oval stainless steel case also gives the watch a clearly sporty look. The positioning of the crown and chronograph pusher, which are modelled on classic hand stopwatches, contributes to this.

The face of the black and white twins has a shimmering sunburst finish, on which the oval sub-dials are arranged vertically. Like the tachymetre scale on the edge of the glass, they are matt lacquered.

A sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides and striking luminous hands ensure good readability in a wide range of lighting conditions.

With a width of 45.5 millimetres, the case, which is water-resistant to ten bar, is generously sized, but thanks to the ergonomically shaped back, it is also comfortable to wear for people with narrower wrists. The "1972 Competition" is fastened with a perforated leather strap.

It is powered by the self-winding J880.5 calibre, which offers up to 48 hours of power reserve when fully wound. It also lives up to its sporty appearance by including a chronoscope function in addition to the time display.
