According to statistics, jewelry from Germany is developing positively

The figures for the German jewelry industry are positive. Exports totaled €530 million, representing an increase of 10.4 percent compared to January. Compared to the same month last year, February 2024, export figures show a volume of €478 million, representing an increase of 10.9 percent.

German watch industry: Exports increase, imports weaken

The German Jewelry and Watch Association (BVSU) has presented the import and export figures for the German watch and jewelry industry. These figures are compiled by the Federal Statistical Office.

Figures for German exports of clocks, wristwatches, and watch parts show a slight increase of 2.8 percent in February compared to the previous month. This represents a total export volume of 157 million euros.

Comparing February 2025 with the same period of the previous year reveals an even more positive development: Back then, exports totaled 136 million euros. This corresponds to an increase of 15.6 percent, which the Federal Statistical Office recorded this year.

Imports of watches and watch parts, however, were lower. At €190 million, imports recorded a minimal increase of just 0.1 percent. Compared to the same month of the previous year, February 2024, this represents a significant decrease. Imports of watches and watch parts totaled €206 million, corresponding to a decrease of 7.8 percent.
