Seiko retells the story of the '68ers

Inspired by Seiko's 1968 diver's watch, the "1968 Heritage Automatic GMT Diver" focuses on clean lines and uncompromisingly reliable technology in the form of the automatic caliber 6R54 with a 72-hour power reserve.

The design retells the story of Seiko's 1968 diver's watch. Every detail has been updated—both in terms of technology and craftsmanship.

The design of the 42-millimeter case is naturally based on the original. Crafted from hard-coated stainless steel and complemented by a three-link bracelet, the watch offers lasting comfort.

The blue stainless steel and ceramic bezel, combined with the silvery-white dial, evokes the freshness of the world's oceans, marking the wearer as a true seafarer, or at least a sea lover. With a water resistance of 30 bar and a GMT function, the "1968 Heritage Automatic GMT Diver" is definitely suited to withstanding all the waters of the earth.

The diver's watch, available from June, is worn on a strap made of hard-coated stainless steel with a folding clasp, safety push-button and bar as well as a so-called slide adjuster

This newly developed clasp can be adjusted in six increments of approximately 2.5 millimeters each—a total of approximately 15 millimeters. This ensures the watch always sits comfortably, regardless of changing temperatures or any type of sporting activity. This practical clasp has been incorporated into a regular production model for the first time to further improve wearing comfort and user-friendliness.
