Bulgari used the Met Gala to offer insights into its new high jewelry collection, "Polychroma." The stars on the red carpet combined the jewelry with elegant fashion that invites you to copy.

The Met brings dandy style to the red carpet
The Metropolitan Museum of Art's charity gala in New York, better known as the "Met Gala," is possibly the most famous and exclusive costume party in the world. Each year, the event has its own theme. This year's theme was "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style." The dress code, "Taylored for You," emphasized tailored fashion, reminiscent of the era of Black dandies in the United States. The style was established in the 18th century.
The dandy style could be described as deliberate overdressing. The focus is on perfect style and a flawless outfit, typically a tailored suit with a high collar, an elegant hat, and even more elegant shoes. A motto from the fashion movement that sums it up is: "Don't talk about your clothes, let your clothes do the talking."
After this little excursion into fashion history, let's return to the Met Gala red carpet...
Anne Hathaway with “Cosmic Vault”
American actress Anne Hathaway is one of Bulgari's brand ambassadors. At the Met Gala, she wore the stunning "Cosmic Vault" necklace in white gold, featuring a blue sapphire as the centerpiece, surrounded by white diamonds and other small sapphires that adorn the entire necklace.
With so much opulence, it's fitting that Hathaway wore a simple white blouse with her jewelry. When the necklace defines the outfit, the clothes don't need a lot of frills. This demonstrates the sense of style for which the actress is already known. She paired the necklace with two rings, one also with a sapphire, the other entirely in white diamonds.
Priyanka Chopra with “Magnus Emerald”
Indian actress Priyanka Chopra, also a Bulgari brand ambassador, wore a necklace with the legendary “Magnus” emerald – weighing 241.04 carats, one of the largest and most exclusive gemstones in the world.
With its bright green, the emerald becomes an eye-catcher that literally overshadows the rest of the outfit.
Chopra wore a matching platinum ring with emeralds and diamonds to complement the necklace with the Magnus Emerald, and a simpler pair of platinum earrings with cushion-cut diamonds.
Asap Rocky with Bulgari ruby necklace
American rapper and producer Asap Rocky, as is typical of his native music genre, went all out with his jewelry. For his interpretation of the dandy look, the musician wore a ruby necklace, various diamond earrings and rings by Bulgari, and a large eye-catching brooch.
Rapper Asap Rocky was perhaps one of the stars who brought the most jewelry to the event. Among the treasures he sported were a Bulgari Serpenti ring and a diamond-studded umbrella.
Zendaya in the sign of the snake
Actress Zendaya kept it simple and elegant – all in white, with comparatively little jewelry, but with the iconic Bulgari snake as an eye-catcher on the neck of her tailor-made suit.
A small pop of color flashed through Zendaya's ears, with diamond stud earrings in the shade Fancy Vivid Yellow. Zendaya's look was elegantly understated—instead of a necklace, she wore a white tie to complement the monochrome look.
Monica Barbaro with Serpenti rings and brooch
American actress Monica Barbaro also interpreted the dandy look with a suit and tie – a perfect opportunity to give a brooch the stage.
Black leather gloves provided the perfect contrast to diamond rings in the Serpenti design.
Monica Barbaro's brooch features an ancient Roman coin, set in rose gold and surrounded by diamonds. Barbaro's style also included a pair of classic diamond stud earrings.
