Longines celebrates the "Conquest" with modern technology of today
The "Conquest Heritage" line plays a very special role in the history of what is now a Swatch Group brand. It was the first Longines watch line whose name was protected by the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual Property in 1954.
As a tribute to the first "Conquest" models, which were launched over 70 years ago, the "Conquest Heritage" line is aimed at lovers of vintage design in the style of the 1950s.
Longines has recently created new 3-hand models in 38 and 40 millimeters that combine this look with modern watchmaking technology. They feature the signature 18-carat gold medallion engraved with a fish motif and hand-enameled on the back, which has always been the hallmark of the collection.

This element refers to the first "Conquest" watches from the 1950s, which featured similar medallions – a fish for the steel models and a constellation of stars for the gold models – as a trademark and seal of approval for the collection's water resistance.

Further details with a historical reference include the domed sunburst dial, which is available in various colors: in blue, combined with faceted and rhodium-plated indices; in green, brown or black, with faceted, rose gold-colored indices; and in silver with faceted, yellow gold-colored indices.

The rhodium-plated, rose gold, or yellow gold-plated hour and minute hands are color-coordinated with the indices and coated with Superluminova for easy legibility in all lighting conditions. This is achieved through domed sapphire crystal with multiple anti-reflective coatings on both sides.

Each Conquest Heritage is powered by the self-winding mechanical caliber L888.5, featuring a silicon balance spring and other non-magnetic components. This technology delivers resistance to magnetic fields ten times greater than the requirements of ISO 764 standard. It offers a power reserve of 72 hours. It is protected up to a pressure of five bar in a 38- or 40-millimeter stainless steel case with a screw-down caseback.

A stainless steel bracelet with a double folding clasp and fine adjustment or a black or brown leather strap ensures a secure hold on the wrist.
