Jewellery autumn highlight: Vicenzaoro

The international world of jewellery will meet again in Italy until 9 September. Vicenzaoro is the oldest jewellery fair in Europe and brings together everything the jewellery-loving heart desires under one roof: the crème de la crème of the international jewellery industry makes Vicenza a place of inspiration, trends and styles - amidst the sparkle of thousands of breathtaking jewellery creations from all over the world.

Vicenzaoro covers the entire supply chain, from pearls and gemstones and manufacturing technology to a huge selection of jewellery, packaging and presentation. Many of the trends, designs and themes that can be experienced now at Vicenzaoro will also influence the jewellery market in Germany in some form six months later - and can therefore also be seen in the displays of jewellers. It is exciting to be part of this colourful spectacle and to be able to experience all the exciting influences, talks and jewellery presentations at first hand.

Italian jewellery culture and dolce vita

Italy has a rich, historical heritage in jewellery making, which is still passionately cultivated today. Gold? Traditionally, there is no less than 14 carat gold in Italy, but 18 carat is the real standard. The Veneto region in particular and the city of Vicenza, after which the Vicenzaoro trade fair is named, are an important centre for goldsmithing.

Italian design is always in demand anyway, whether it's fashion, shoes, sunglasses or handbags - but in Vicenza, craftsmanship flourishes between gold and precious stones - which is why the international kaleidoscope of jewellery manufacturers also includes a large selection of Italian designers who have made it to the top of the world and are also popular here in German-speaking countries.
