Mühle-Glashütte presents new “Sportivio” model with large date display

Last spring, Mühle-Glashütte introduced the new "Sportivio" family of watches. True to their name, these timepieces are characterized by their dynamic design and uncompromising functionality.

The premiere models “Compass Date”, “Travel GMT” and “Active Chronograph” from Mühle-Glashütte offered water resistance up to 30 bar and, thanks to Superluminova on the hands and indices or hour markers, comfortable readability even in poor lighting conditions.

The new "Large Date" model is in no way inferior. Enclosed in a robust 42.5-millimeter stainless steel case, the in-house developed modular movement MU9424-GD ensures reliable precision for both time and date. The latter is prominently displayed at 6 o'clock.

The 12 o'clock marker and the hour markers have bright nickel-plated frames and can therefore be generously coated with white Super-LumiNova. The same applies to the hour and minute hands.

This combination ensures a clear contrast to the black dial during the day, and an intense afterglow at night, guaranteeing easy readability at all times.

The double anti-reflective, 2.2 mm thick sapphire crystal is another quality feature, ensuring an unobstructed view of the dial at all times. The crystal is framed by a bidirectional rotating bezel with a scratch-resistant ceramic inlay.

Other technical features of the watch include a screw-down crown and water resistance up to 30 bar. It is available with three strap options: a textile strap, a leather/rubber strap, or a stainless steel bracelet with an adjustable safety folding clasp.

The MU9424-GD modular movement from Mühle-Glashütte features a shock-resistant and finely adjustable woodpecker neck regulator and a Mühle rotor. It offers quick-set function, stop-seconds capability, and a 41-hour power reserve.

After the finishing and assembly of the movement components, it is tested in six positions and regulated so that its rate is between 0 and +8 seconds per day. The regulation specifications are based on the stringent chronometer standard.

(RRP €2,990 (textile or leather-rubber strap), €3,240 (stainless steel strap))
