INHORGENTA Munich 2026

For four days, Munich was once again the center of the international jewelry, watch, and gemstone industry. From February 20 to 23, 2026, INHORGENTA confirmed its role as Europe’s leading trade fair—with a clear thematic focus, increasing internationality, and economic relevance.

Around 900 exhibitors with 1,200 brands from 35 countries presented their latest products. Over 25,000 trade visitors from 94 countries ensured that the halls were full. The trade fair is thus continuing to gain in scope and significance in the global market environment.

Focus on craftsmanship

For the first time, INHORGENTA had an overarching theme: craftsmanship. The trade fair deliberately focused on craftsmanship excellence as the central foundation of the industry.

Visitors were able to watch gemstone setters, engravers, and watchmakers at work at more than 30 stations. Workbenches became stages, and work processes became transparent. Formats such as “MasterCraft Live,” the “Craftsmanship Area,” “THE ATELIER,” the “Silbertriennale International,” the “Precious Metals Forum,” and the expanded “FHH Cultural Space” made the craft visible—complemented by modern technologies such as 3D design, lasers, and CNC, which presented themselves as precise partners to traditional manufacturing.

The trade fair thus sent a clear signal: in an increasingly digital environment, the visible, traceable creation of a product is becoming increasingly important. Craftsmanship creates differentiation—and trust.

Business, encounters, international dynamics

INHORGENTA no longer positions itself solely as an ordering platform. It sees itself as a thought leader, a forum for dialogue, inspiration, and personal encounters—a quality that is becoming increasingly important in a globalized industry.

Internationalization continued in 2026. While the number of German visitors declined slightly, international participation grew significantly. Trade visitors from Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Italy, Great Britain, Czechia, and Belgium were particularly well represented. The highest growth came from Sri Lanka, Sweden, Ukraine, and the USA.

With a customer satisfaction rating of 80 points, the trade fair achieved top marks—particularly in the areas of organization, internationality, and atmosphere. Media visibility also increased noticeably, supported by international reporting and an active social media community.

Positive market signals

The trade fair took place in a challenging economic environment – yet still sent out a positive signal. According to the Jewelers’ Trade Association, specialist retail sales rose by 2.1 percent in 2025. Watch exports increased by 5.9 percent, while jewelry exports rose by as much as 13.3 percent. This is the fourth consecutive year of growth.

The premium segment remains particularly strong: gold jewelry, custom-made items, and renowned watch brands are enjoying stable demand. With a market share of 73 percent, brick-and-mortar specialty retailers maintain an exceptionally strong position.

Record participation in the INHORGENTA AWARD

The winners of the INHORGENTA Award 2026

One highlight was the presentation of the INHORGENTA AWARD at Bavaria Film Studios. With 148 entries from 19 countries, the award reached a new record. New categories such as “Mechanical Watch of the Year,” “Goldsmith of the Year,” “Jeweler of the Year,” and “Luxury Watch of the Year | Public Choice” broadened the spectrum and strengthened the international relevance of the award.

Conclusion for 2026

With a clear thematic focus, growing internationality, and positive market dynamics, INHORGENTA underscores its role as the industry’s central European platform.

The main theme of craftsmanship was more than just a curatorial element—it marked a strategic positioning: quality, craftsmanship, and transparent value creation are taking center stage. The trade fair is thus sending a clear signal for the future of the jewelry and watch industry in Europe.
