Alpina Becomes Official Timekeeper for the Virtual Route du Rhum

Alpina Sets Sail with Virtual Regatta: The Swiss watch brand is serving as the official timekeeper for the virtual Route du Rhum. The digital regatta will begin on November 1, 2026, running parallel to the real-life single-handed classic from Saint-Malo to Guadeloupe.

Players can compete in the Atlantic crossing online under realistic weather conditions. A warm-up regatta from September 23 to October 1 will serve as a trial run. The partnership combines Alpina’s sporty brand identity with a platform that makes sailing accessible digitally.

Limited-Edition Solarmetre

The partnership is accompanied by the Alpiner Extreme Solarmetre. The AL-140BT3AE6 model features solar-powered quartz technology and boasts a striking sporty case, a carbon bezel, and blue accents on the black dial.

The run is limited to 513 pieces—a nod to the approximately 3,513-nautical-mile route between Brittany and Guadeloupe. The price is 1,095 euros.
