Watch News Briefing: Formex, MeisterSinger, and DOXA × Fins Attached

Three new releases combine innovative technical approaches: Formex adapts its Field platform for a modern pilot’s watch, MeisterSinger combines a jumping hour mechanism with traditional guilloché, and DOXA uses a unique SUB 300T to protect sharks.

Formex AirField: From the Field to the Cockpit

Formex is further developing the design foundation of its Field line into the AirField. The new line retains the 40-millimeter case made of hardened titanium but adds a dial and set of hands inspired by the clear readability of cockpit instruments. Four colors are available: Desert Sand, Horizon Blue, Jet Black, and Tarmac Gray.

Wide sword-shaped hands, recessed numerals filled by hand with Super-LumiNova, and the triangular marker at 12 o’clock are designed to allow for quick orientation. Weighing just 54 grams, the titanium case achieves a hardness of approximately 900 Vickers after surface treatment. It also features a screw-down crown and is water-resistant to 150 meters.

Inside, the Sellita SW200-2 Power+ movement offers a 65-hour power reserve. Compared to the conventional SW200, this significantly improves the watch’s suitability for everyday use: The watch can be left off for more than two days without needing to be reset afterward. The watch is available with elastic nylon straps featuring a Velcro closure, as well as leather straps with a finely adjustable Formex folding clasp.

MeisterSinger Panthero: Jumping Hour and Guilloché

With the Panthero Jumping Hour Guilloché edition, MeisterSinger creates a deliberate contrast between modern display and traditional dial craftsmanship. The hour appears in a window and “jumps” forward when the hour changes. In this design, the single central hand indicates the minutes rather than the hours.

The light blue dial is finished on historic, manually operated guilloché machines. The minute track, hands, and the sunburst disc serving as the small seconds sub-dial are finished in dark gray. A cognac-colored cowhide leather strap with a crocodile embossed pattern complements this unusual color combination.

The stainless steel case measures 40.5 millimeters. The automatic MS-JH-01 caliber remains visible through the sapphire crystal case back, which is secured with four screws. It is based on the Sellita SW300, features a module for the jumping hour, and offers a 47-hour power reserve. The watch is water-resistant to five bar. MeisterSinger has limited this edition to 25 pieces; the price is 7,990 euros.

DOXA supports shark conservation

DOXA is launching a partnership with the marine conservation organization Fins Attached. To kick off the partnership, a one-of-a-kind SUB 300T was created, which is set to be auctioned on October 10, 2026, during the “Saving Our Seas from a Mile High Gala” event. The proceeds will support research, educational initiatives, and conservation programs for sharks and their habitats.

Technically, the watch meets the rugged standards of the SUB 300T. The Swiss automatic movement operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. It is water-resistant to 1,200 meters. Features include a screw-down crown with side protection, a date window at the 3 o’clock position, and the signature “Beads of Rice”-style stainless steel bracelet with a diver’s extension.

The screw-down case back features the date of the gala, the inscription “1 of 1,” and a reference to Fins Attached. Unlike a regular limited edition, the watch is thus primarily a fundraising tool—and at the same time a visible symbol of how closely the history of the dive watch is linked to the state of the oceans.
