Watch News Briefing: Raidillon, Ralph Lauren, and NOMOS
Motorsports, maritime instruments, and the Glashütte hand-winding tradition: Raidillon presents the APEX, while Ralph Lauren features a Piaget automatic movement in its Nautical Collection. NOMOS rounds out the lineup with the Club 38 and Club 38 Ruthenium—which actually measure 38.5 millimeters in diameter and are equipped with the DUW 4001 caliber.
Raidillon APEX: A New Pillow-Style Case for the Anniversary
Since 2001, Raidillon has been developing watches inspired by motorsports. To mark its 25th anniversary, the Belgian brand is introducing the APEX, a new chronograph collection. Its name refers to the apex of a curve. Eight dial variations are being produced, each in a limited run of 55 pieces, including a version with a genuine meteorite dial.

The case, which measures approximately 40 millimeters, has a cushion shape. For the APEX-C10-5008 meteorite reference, the brand specifies dimensions of 39 by 41 millimeters, a height of 14 millimeters, and a distance of 48 millimeters between the lugs. Polished and brushed stainless steel surfaces frame the dial. Anti-reflective sapphire crystal, a screw-down crown, and water resistance up to 10 bar round out the sporty design.
Inside, the watch is powered by the automatic Sellita SW500 movement. It offers a 48-hour power reserve, 25 jewels, and a frequency of four hertz. The brand highlights a balance wheel shaped like a racing steering wheel, developed specifically for Raidillon. A 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock and a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock define the chronograph; the day of the week and date are displayed at 3 o’clock. The framed “55” at 9 o’clock references the brand’s signature limited edition.

The meteorite version comes with a black rally leather strap with white stitching, a quick-change system, and a folding clasp. Regular prices start at 2,950 euros; the meteorite version costs 3,550 euros. Through October 30, Raidillon is offering a pre-order period with introductory prices. The watch is scheduled to go on sale in November; for the meteorite model, the online store states that shipping will begin on November 15.
Ralph Lauren Nautical: Antique Brass Look Meets Piaget Mechanics
Ralph Lauren is expanding its Nautical Collection with a black and a cream-colored dial. Both are set in a round stainless steel case with a brushed PVD finish in an antique brass tone. The design is reminiscent of vintage maritime instruments: warm metallic tones, Roman and Arabic numerals, and Breguet-style hands define its look.

The technical focus is on the RL514 caliber, which Piaget manufactures for Ralph Lauren. The Swiss automatic movement features 26 jewels, operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 hertz), and offers approximately 40 hours of power reserve. Vertical Côtes de Genève and perlage are part of the decoration. The connection to Piaget continues the collaboration with specialized Swiss manufacturers that has been maintained since the launch of the watch line.
The watches, referred to as 42-mm models, measure exactly 42.6 millimeters in diameter and 11.5 millimeters in height. A domed sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating on the inside protects the dial. The watch is water-resistant to 20 bar. The three-row steel bracelet features an antique brass-colored finish and is equipped with a folding clasp with safety pushers.
Reference 468P07571001 features a black dial, while 468P07572001 features a cream-colored dial. According to the official euro price list, both cost 12,000 euros.
NOMOS Club 38: Two Dials, One Hand-Wound Caliber
NOMOS Glashütte is expanding the Club collection with two models featuring differently colored dials: the Club 38 with a white silver-plated dial and the Club 38 Ruthenium in anthracite. Despite the model names, the actual case diameter for both watches is 38.5 millimeters. At 8.4 millimeters thick, the stainless steel cases remain slim; water resistance is rated at 10 atm.

The light-colored Club features dark numerals and red accents. The ruthenium version features light-colored numerals, yellow outlines, and orange minute markers against a dark background. Both models retain the Club’s signature combination of highly legible Arabic numerals, a small seconds sub-dial, and a sporty color scheme. The Ruthenium model comes with a black Horween Genuine Shell Cordovan strap with brown stitching.

Technically, they are united by the in-house caliber DUW 4001. The hand-wound movement offers up to 53 hours of power reserve and operates with the NOMOS Swing System, the brand’s proprietary escapement. A Glashütte three-quarter plate, blued screws, and the escape wheel are among its characteristic design and construction features. The compact movement architecture helps ensure that the watches remain comparatively slim despite their water resistance suitable for everyday use.

With daily or regular winding, the watch remains intentionally easy to use. Combined with the slim case and distinctive dials, the result is a Club model that emphasizes comfort, clean design, and mechanical independence.
