Watch News Briefing: Depancel, Solar Aqua, Bell & Ross, and Squale
A historic long-distance race, the North American Great Lakes, and the speed record on skis serve as the inspiration for three new watches. There’s also a brief update on Squale’s diver’s watch with a moisture indicator.
Depancel Autosport: A Special Edition for Les 2 Tours d’Horloge
Depancel has dedicated a limited-edition Autosport watch to the historic 24-hour race, Les 2 Tours d’Horloge. The event at the Circuit Paul Ricard is scheduled for November 7 and 8, 2026. Depancel is an official partner; the watch went on sale on November 5.

The steel case measures 39 millimeters and is water-resistant up to 5 bar. Inside, it houses the Miyota 9122 automatic movement with calendar functions. The edition consists of 100 numbered pieces. Depancel lists the price at 795 euros.
Solar Aqua Mishipeshu G.L.: 50 bar and a map of the Great Lakes
G.L. stands for Great Lakes. A map of the North American lakes is engraved on the dial, and coordinates on the side of the case continue the motif. The name Mishipeshu is derived from a figure in the folklore of North America’s Indigenous communities.

The diver’s watch combines a matte-brushed 40-millimeter 316L stainless steel case with recessed lugs, a unidirectional rotating steel bezel, and a date magnifier in the sapphire crystal. The crown and case back are screw-down; Solar Aqua specifies a water resistance of 50 bar. The customized Swiss Peseux automatic movement also displays the date. The dial is available in black, moss green, and dark blue. Round luminous hour markers and the date magnifier distinguish the G.L. from the previously introduced Mishipeshu Odino.
Bell & Ross BR-05 Chrono Snow Rocket: Red on Snow White
Bell & Ross dedicates the Snow Rocket to French speed skier Simon Billy. The matte white finish is reminiscent of snow; the red numerals, hands, and scales echo the color of his racing gear. The tachymeter scale along the edge of the dial evokes the theme of speed measurement.

The polished and satin-finished steel case is 42 millimeters wide, 14.25 millimeters high, and water-resistant to 100 meters. The automatic caliber BR-CAL.326 offers a 60-hour power reserve. The chronograph measures up to 30 minutes; it also features a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock and a date window at 6 o’clock. Bell & Ross is limiting this edition to 250 pieces. Prices start at 6,900 euros for the model with a red rubber strap and 7,400 euros for the model with a steel bracelet.
In Brief: Squale Galeazzi Artiglio
Squale showcased the Galeazzi Artiglio, which was unveiled in September, at several trade shows this fall. The 39.5-millimeter stainless steel diver’s watch is water-resistant to 60 bar. A moisture indicator is designed to reveal any water that has penetrated the watch. Squale states that 500 numbered pieces will be produced.
