Zenith presents limited edition DEFY Zero G Sapphire

Overcoming gravity in blue and transparent

The new Zenith DEFY Zero G Sapphire represents a technical and aesthetic innovation in 2025: two limited editions (only 10 pieces worldwide each) with cases made entirely of sapphire – one in deep blue, the other completely transparent. With this, Zenith underscores its innovative strength at the highest level on the occasion of the brand's 160th anniversary.

Housing & Opulence

The 46 mm case consists of three blocks of sapphire – the middle, bezel, and case back. One version features the material in deep blue, the other is completely transparent. Each version is limited to just ten pieces – a statement of haute horlogerie and an eye-catcher on the wrist.

Caliber & Technology

Inside, the hand-wound El Primero 8812S caliber operates at 5 Hz (36,000 vibrations) and has a 50-hour power reserve. Central to the movement is the patented "Gravity Control" module, which keeps the regulating organ horizontal at all times – a technology that minimizes the effects of gravity on precision.

Design & Emotion

The open skeleton design provides a clear view of the star bridge structures and the modular movement. The blue version with a lapis lazuli dial is reminiscent of a glittering night sky, while the transparent version showcases pure technology. The use of sapphire emphasizes lightness despite the impressive size – a perfect symbiosis of technology and aesthetics.
