With the long history of a company, its expertise in various fields grows. The jewelry manufacturer Frieden AG Creative Design in Lucerne brings together over 125 years of Swiss goldsmithing tradition.
From a producer of filigree jewelry for traditional costumes, Frieden became a specialist in colored gemstones, diamonds, and pearls. Today, the company combines craftsmanship with in-house gemology and special market knowledge.
The owners, Mr. and Mrs. Aeschbacher, also run the multi-brand jeweler Bläser in Thun. As a result, they are very familiar with the perspective of specialist retailers, whom they can advise and support accordingly: from planning and purchasing to presentation and the sale of exclusive individual items and collections.
Gem Investing with Peace
The company’s many years of experience in the gemstone trade qualify it to offer another service: Frieden provides advice on investing in natural-colored, untreated gemstones, which have seen enormous increases in value in recent years.
Rainbow color gradient
The jewelry manufacturer will be showcasing its expertise in colored gemstones at Inhorgenta with, among other things, its “Rainbow” collection. The naturally colored sapphires from Madagascar used in this collection are rare. Frieden maintains good relations with the miners who extract the stones without the use of machinery.
The manufacturer has the highest standards for the sapphires used to create the rainbow lines in the jewelry: only untreated, high-quality stones with intense colors are considered—less than one percent of production. Nevertheless, hundreds of stones in different shades are needed for each size in order to achieve the impressively uniform color gradients.
