Watches & Wonders 2026: Saxonia Annual Calendar by A. Lange & Söhne – The Fine Difference
In haute horlogerie, it is often the smallest details — both technical and aesthetic — that set a fine timepiece apart. The same holds true when refining an already successful model.
The new “Saxonia Annual Calendar” by A. Lange & Söhne appears noticeably more compact at first glance than its predecessor. With a diameter of 36 millimetres, the gold case follows the trend toward slimmer watches that sit comfortably on any wrist and easily slip under a shirt cuff.

Despite its reduced size, legibility remains uncompromised. A finely graduated azurage ensures that the recessed subdials are always clearly visible, while the baton indices now appear slightly more pronounced.

A new automatic calibre has also been developed specifically for the smaller case: the L207.1, whose platinum rotor delivers a power reserve of up to 60 hours. The calendar requires correction only once a year—at the end of February—while the moon phase display needs adjustment by a single day only after more than 122 years.

The new “Saxonia Annual Calendar” is available in two versions: one in a rose gold case with a grey dial, and another in white gold with an argenté-coloured dial—each complemented by matching hands and indices.
